Mythical Dragon, See You Again!
神龍,再見!
Appointed by artists, the project “Mythical Dragon, See You Again!” was a public art installation inspired by the demolished landmark in Lam Tin, where there used to be a majestic flying dragon relief on the walls of Lam Tin Estate Block 15. Artists chose Chinese Checkers as a remembrance of childhood memory as the material.
After a few trials and errors, the team successfully re-created the mythical dragon on the glass curtain wall between 1/F and 4/F of Lam Tin Complex. Colorful marbles were aligned to create the pattern of the dragon. The dragon became a carrier of history, with stickers surrounding the marbles, names and addresses of the past residents and closed shops in the old estate imprinted on it.
